DuoPen Enterprises is the creative home of Joy Don Baker and Terri Goodman (Dallas, TX). Together, they bring the captivating Nurseketeers series to life, following the lives of four nursing students as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their scholastic years in the 1970s.
Life is always better when experienced with friends. The Nurseketeers characters were born one summer afternoon — people-watching before a movie, attributing notes like hair color and clothing to four women named Ms. Brown, Ms. Blue, Ms. Red and Ms. Gray.
Each retained pieces of those original notes and grew into Frannie Braun, Leslie Bleu, Robin Hart and Katie Grayfox. We embellished those ideas during the development of the first book, The Wake-Up Call, and the rest of the series followed.
