Baker and Goodman have been writing together for a decade, captivating readers with their unique storytelling and compelling narratives. What began as a casual conversation, a simple discussion of what you like to read, blossomed into one of the most successful author partnerships in contemporary fiction. Their story is one of creativity, friendship, and an unwavering dedication to the craft of storytelling.

From the beginning, their writing styles complemented one another in unexpected ways. Where one excels at crafting intricate plots, the other brings characters to life with emotional depth and authenticity. This synergy has become the foundation of every book they've created together, enabling them to produce stories that neither could have written alone.

The Journey as Authors

From humble beginnings crafting nursing journal manuscripts, to publishing an award-winning book, the journey has been filled with creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for the written word. They believe that stories have the power to connect people, inspire change, and transport readers to new worlds.

The first collaborative initiative was the Nurseketeers series. After they published the first book in the series, The Wake-up Call, they realized that there were very few resources available for co-authors working through the issues involved in collaborating to publish. Realizing that they successfully traveled that road, they could provide the guidance that others needed succeed. They began that journey with a new book, the A, B, & Cs of Author Partnering, that received the Book Excellence Award for this book. The journey continued with workshops and podium presentations on the subject of partnering to publish.

Dr. Baker also has used the A, B, & Cs of Author Partnering to support the class she offered to university faculty on Writing for Publication. Faculty must write and publish their work and often join a writing team to facilitate publication. The response from readers was overwhelming and confirmed that the Baker and Goodman partnership was meant to be.

The partners have faced the challenges that every author encounters: writer's block, rejection letters, and the constant pressure to evolve theircraft. But having a writing partner means never facing those obstacles alone. In the spirit of collaboration, they push one another to excel, to challenge assumptions, and they celebrate victories together.
